Each year, new trends and colors change in popularity to meet the demands of ever-changing fashion. Some people choose to follow those trends and incorporate their own elements, others choose to avoid them completely and create their very own statement. What’s so great about the past few years is everyone is using colour trends to their advantage to create their own individuality. In an age where trends are seen instantly on social media, inspiration can be pulled from a wide variety of platforms for everyone. It’s no doubt that as a result of this, colour trends are consistently changing. So what do we think will be up and coming in the 2018 year? We have touched on four key areas we believe will be trending in the 2018 year. Our thoughts are listed below on what we believe will be our most popular colors will be.
Midnight Blues: Otherwise formerly known as dark navy, this shade has been a trend on becoming the new black. A dark, subtle color that could otherwise be mistaken for black at a quick glance has been seen in upcoming trends. Midnight blues leave that classic look untouched while adding unique elements to your style in a very discreet way.
Silvery Grays: This shade of gray is coming back to be more popular this year. As this shade blends so well with a variety of different shades, it makes it easy to utilize these colours in many different ways. The polished and clean look of this shade is perfect for any look whether weddings, graduation or homecoming.
Earthy Greens: Earthy greens were popular in the latter half of 2017 and continue to be through 2018. Juniper Green was the most popular color for us last year and as bold greens, including emerald green are seen trending on many platforms, these colours will continue to be popular throughout the remainder of year.
Light and Dark Purples: Purples including both light and rich shades are always treasured and timeless in every season. Shades including lavender, lilac are likely to becoming increasingly popular as well as the dark, rich shades such as eggplant and prune are always a great choice for all wedding seasons.
Whether weddings, graduation or whatever your special occasion may be, there are a vast array of shades and colours available for you to choose from to make your event something that reflect your personal touch, mood or statement. While it may be hard to make that final choice in the end, it’s great that there are endless options so that you can make your vision happen!
